NEWKD (North, East & West Kerry Development) have launched a new ‘Women Active in Society’ training programme aimed at increasing awareness and fuller participation of women in farming, women in local producing and women entrepreneurs.
A key component to the programme is the creation of a small, trusted group of like-minded women within each cohort and across sectors for collaboration. This programme is unique from others in that it is a transnational initiative, built in collaboration with a similar group of women based in Poland.
