  5. LEADER Impact Campaign Winners...

The NRN launched their LEADER Impact Campaign in September asking those who have drawn down LEADER funding to tell the story of how their LEADER funded project has made an impact by creating their own short video. Winners of the campaign, of which there were three, one for each theme, were chosen via a public vote which ran over a four-week period. With almost 6,000 votes cast the winning projects were announced as The Forge Project by Spa Fenit Community Council in Churchill, Co. Kerry (Theme 1: Economic Development, Enterprise & Development and Job Creation); The Dynamics Violin Project with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland in Dundalk, Co. Louth (Theme 2: Social Inclusion) and the Environmental Workshop Series with the Ballyboughal Hedgerow Society, in Ballyboughal Co. Dublin (Theme 3: Rural Environment).

The NRN would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the entrants for their submissions and invite you to log on to view all entries to the campaign on our newly developed storyboard at Storyboards – NRN (nationalruralnetwork.ie).
