Local Enterprise Week takes place every year to celebrate the value of enterprise development and a number of events take place on this week to support budding entrepreneurs. This year, to coincide with Local Enterprise Week the NRN published a press release on the value of LEADER support to Enterprise Development in Rural areas.
To date, LEADER has provided nearly €25m to Enterprise Development in Rural Areas in the current LEADER Programme (2014-2020). This €25m has been granted to 554 Enterprise Development projects and is increasing all the time. Economic Development, Enterprise Development and Job Creation are one of the main themes under which LEADER provides financial aid. To read the full press release, see here.
