Irish Rural Link have started their own series of online conversations to discuss the lessons that have been learnt from COVID19 and how we can use these learnings to develop rural communities in the future. The first of these conversations took place on Thursday May 28th and included the First Vice-President of the European Parliament and MEP Mairead McGuiness and the Head of Rural Strategy and Social Enterprise at the Department of Rural and Community Development, Andrew Forde. This conversation was moderated by Seamus Boland, CEO of Irish Rural Link, and touched on many different aspects including remote working, broadband, rural health, the LEADER Programme and much more.
