NEWKD (North, East and West Kerry Development Company) have recently completed a LEADER Transnational Cooperation project which supported female leaders across the region to grow and develop their businesses.
The project connected these women with their counterparts in Poland to share and gain insight from their experiences. A key component to the training programme was the creation of a small, trusted group of like-minded entrepreneurs, farmers and producers within each cohort and across sectors for collaboration. These women will utilise what they have learned from each other throughout the programme as they grow their businesses across Kerry and rural Poznan.
