eTownz, in association with ten Local Development Companies throughout Ireland, is providing Smart Village Training to communities. Smart Villages are communities in rural areas that use innovative solutions to improve their resilience, building on local strengths and opportunities. Ireland’s position in relation to the development of Smart Villages is that it can be greatly enhanced through the successful delivery and modernisation of the LEADER Programme.
Sixteen local development companies around Ireland commissioned the creation of this Smart Village Curriculum by eTownz. The Curriculum consists of six 90 minute modules which guide participants through the process of creating a Smart Village Plan.
