The National Rural Network (NRN) launched the ‘LEADER Programme 2014-2020 Case Studies from Ireland’ booklet in November 2021, showcasing 72 community-led LEADER projects located throughout Ireland. To promote a selection of the case studies featured within the booklet, the NRN is currently running a themed social media initiative, on Friday mornings.
Recently promoted on the NRN Facebook and Twitter channels were two projects funded under the LEADER theme of economic development, enterprise development and job creation.
- On pages 14-17, read about how LEADER supported South Westmeath Employment, Education & Training Services CLG (SWEETS) to upgrade its laptop computer equipment and software, which facilitated the delivery of higher quality IT courses in a more effective learning environment.
- On pages 22-25, read about how LEADER supported the development of Mid Ireland Adventure in Co. Offaly, enabling the business to purchase essential equipment including mountain bikes, paddle boards and wetsuits.
