In November 2021, the National Rural Network (NRN) launched the ‘LEADER Programme 2014-2020 Case Studies from Ireland’ booklet, showcasing 72 community-led LEADER projects located throughout Ireland.
To highlight a selection of the case studies featured within the booklet, the NRN is currently running a themed bi-weekly social media initiative, on Friday mornings.
Recently promoted on the NRN Facebook and Twitter channels were three projects funded under the LEADER theme of social inclusion.
- On pages 44-47, read about how LEADER supported repairs and upgrades to the Corduff Raferagh Community Centre in Co. Monaghan, which has helped to safeguard the future of the centre, enhanced its community value and generated increased interest in the local community association.
- On pages 48-51, read about how LEADER supported the development of a five-year Community Plan to support the sustainable development of Cullohill village in Co. Laois.
- On pages 52-55, read about how LEADER supported the No Barriers Foundation in Co. Donegal to purchase an Exoskeleton Rehabilitation Suit, enabling those with neurological injuries and illnesses to rehabilitate in their own communities.
