On the 29th of April 2022, the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, officially opened a number of projects in North Cork which have received funding from her department. All of the projects opened, as part of the Minister’s visit, received investment under the government’s ambitious rural development policy, Our Rural Future, which is a whole-of-government policy for rural Ireland for the period 2021-2025.
Several of the projects launched on the day received funding under the LEADER programme including Kanturk Town Park Playground, Lombardstown Tennis Club, Lombardstown Walkway and Dromahane Community Park.
