The NRN recently published a new booklet showcasing 12 projects and initiatives throughout rural Ireland which have been supported under the LEADER Food Initiative.
Launched in May 2018, the LEADER Food Initiative was allocated €15 million as part of Ireland’s Rural Development Programme, to support the further development of new and existing food and beverage businesses. The initiative is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the EU under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 (extended to 2022) and is administered by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
