The fourth session of NUI Galway’s Rural Studies Centre Seminar Series ‘Rural Voices’ featured Dr Helen McGuirk and Dr Aisling ConwayLenihan from the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence at the School of Business, Munster Technological University (MTU) who presented their research exploring the potential of the silver economy, defined as the economic and social opportunities that arise from expenditure related to population ageing, for rural enterprises and society.

A recording of this presentation, that took place on the 27th of April 2022, can be found on the NUI Galway Rural Studies Centre YouTube Channel. Please see here.

Rural Voices provides a platform for Irish academics and key rural stakeholders to present their research or rural projects; network with others engaged in a similar space, both within and beyond academia and to initiate discussions around key rural issues.
