Aerial Agri Tech is an innovative start up business established in 2015. Aerial Agri Tech uses earth observation platforms and processing technology to give their clients a unique insight into their environment and capture specific forms of high level data.
The use of drones for specialist land surveys is at an early stage in Ireland, and Aerial Agri Tech has tapped into this emerging market. In order to enhance its service offering, LEADER supported Aerial Agri Tech to purchase a lightweight Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) drone which captures high resolution aerial imagery in an efficient manner. This can be combined with satellite data to give more accurate and detailed data. The company uses the UAV to provide services to a range of market sectors such as agriculture and forestry, to support data driven decision making. The use of LEADER funding to purchase the UAV has enabled Aerial Agri Tech to now provide a complete remote sensing service.
