LEADER funded Ballykilcavan Farm and Brewery to Feature on RTE’s Ear to the Ground

Ballykilcavan Farm and Brewery in Stradbally in Co. Laois have announced that they are due to appear on the upcoming episode of RTE’s Ear to the Ground on Thursday the 19th of November at 8.30pm. Ballykilcavan Farm is a 13th generation tillage farm which was established in 1639 and specialises in growing malting barley.

David and his wife Lisa decided to establish an on farm brewery to develop their own range of craft beers and lagers, using their primary crop, in order to diversify their farm and increase their farm income. LEADER funding supported Ballykilcavan Farm and Brewery in purchasing a number of pieces of brewing equipment to help establish the brewery and begin processing their range of craft beers and lagers.
