Teresa Roche of Kylemore Farmhouse Cheese is the focus of a video produced by the Department of Rural and Community Development to highlight the publication of ‘Our Rural Future’, Ireland’s new Rural Development Policy.
LEADER funding has supported Teresa to purchase equipment for her cheese manufacturing unit which helps with the processing of milk from the farm’s Pedigree Holstein British Friesians into a luxury Swiss Style Hard Cheese, aimed at more premium markets. Teresa has also developed her own farm shop, which generates employment for local Transition Year students and has won multiple awards for various aspects of her business.
