BallyboughalA winning entry in the NRN LEADER Impact Campaign 2020, the Ballyboughal Environmental Workshop Series was held to promote and preserve the unique hedgerow landscape in the Ballyboughal area, and aimed to show participants of the workshops how to responsibly and positively interact with nature.

LEADER supported the Ballyboughal Hedgerow Society to hold nine environmental workshops between October 2017 and December 2018, targeted at people of all ages. This funding enabled the Society to attract a wide range of biodiversity experts to the area, which helped to meet the growing demand for events of this nature. The added expert knowledge also served to enhance the active learning experience for participants of the workshops.
