Teagasc will be hosting six Transferring the Family Farm clinics across the country in September and October 2022. These clinics are designed to help farm families through the succession planning process and all aspects that need to be considered when transferring the family farm.
Whilst many farmers will never retire, it is important to remember that you do not have to be retired to have a succession plan in place and there are many tax reliefs and benefits to encourage the farming community to prepare a plan in good time.
