The NRN team in the Rural Studies Centre at NUI Galway are key advocates for women in agriculture and rural areas at regional, national, EU and global level through their research, teaching and community outreach activities.
Dr Maura Farrell recently spoke to the Irish Examiner and Irish Farmers Journal about key opportunities and challenges facing women involved in the agri-food sector, and shared her thoughts on Teagasc’s recently published Gender Equality Plan.
