It is possible to register online free of charge for farm safety training for farm families funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine’s EIP Initiative. The programme aims to change farm behaviour to improve safety on Irish farms.
The initiative proposes a novel, cost-effective, and sustainable training-led way to increase farm health, safety, and welfare within each generation of farm families. The programme and evaluation aim to promote farm safety in farmhouses by encouraging family participation. Farm families will thus work together to create a safer atmosphere and promote safety. Learning outcomes, assessments, and evaluations will help create a cost-effective national farm health and safety training programme.
Due to EIP funding, the training will be free of charge beginning in early 2023 and is backed by FRS Network, FRS Training, HSA, Teagasc, FBD, and IFA. Interested persons can register here.
