The National Rural Network have recently released the 7th episode of our Video Blog (Vlog) series featuring farmers who are participating EIP-AGRI projects throughout Ireland. The latest Vlog features Anthony Mooney, a farmer who is involved in the Protecting Farmland Pollinators Project, along with an introduction to the project from its Manager, Dr Saorla Kavanagh. This EIP-AGRI project aims to develop a flexible mechanism that encourages all farmers to make their whole-farm more pollinator friendly in a way that is measurable and will not impact on productivity. The NRN’s EIP-AGRI Vlog series is just one of a number of multi-method communication strategies being implemented by the NRN to maximize the success of the objectives set out in Ireland’s Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020 (extended to 2022) on behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM).
