Inishowen Uplands EIP

The Inishowen EIP Project aims to offer environmental sustainability by boosting biodiversity, enhancing water quality, and combatting climate change by adopting various innovative initiatives and providing a best-practice farm management template.

On 8 December 2022, former Project Manager Henry O’Donnell spoke to ATU Donegal students headed by Dr Paddy Solan on the formation of the Inishowen Uplands EIP and explained what a European Innovation Partnership (EIP) entails. Farmer James Breslin and John Doherty, EIP Project Manager also provided students with a tour of the demo farm and a summary of the measures implemented there. Additionally, the students were shown the new technologies that will be incorporated into the EIP project over the next year, such as Cactus Tree guards, to plant more trees in open areas.
