Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue, marked a major step forward in the implementation of Ireland’s 2023-2027 CAP Strategic Plan opening the application process for the 2023 Basic Income Support for Sustainability.
The Basic Income Support for Sustainability will replace the old Basic Payment Scheme. The new scheme is designed to provide a direct income support to Irish farmers to underpin their continued sustainability and viability.
The Minister outlined that, farmers have received information in the post containing their BISS maps and land details for 2023.
The closing date for BISS applications, will be midnight on Monday 29 May and applications must be submitted online through agfood.ie.
