EPA- €10.5 Million Funding Available for Research to Support Development and Implementation of Environmental Policies in Ireland

EPA- €10.5 million funding The Environmental Protection Agency, EPA, are seeking proposals from the research community to help address climate change and other emerging and complex environmental problems. Up to €10.5 million is available for new research projects under the following themes:

  • Addressing climate change evidence needs
  • Facilitating a green and circular economy
  • Delivering a healthy environment
  • Protecting and restoring our natural environment.

The research call is designed to support the implementation of environmental policies in Ireland including: The Climate Action Plan, National Climate Adaptation Framework, Circular Economy Action Plans and Strategies, Biodiversity National Action Plan and National Peatlands Strategy as well as forthcoming plans.

Call opening: 19th May 2021

Call submission deadline: 14th July 2021 (5PM)
