Beef Data Genomics Programme (BDGP) Extended for 2022

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) have offered an extension of contracts of participants in the 2021 transitional BDGP, for a rollover period of one year into 2022.

The extension of the 2021 BDGP contract is offered to all 2021 BDGP participants.

How to apply:

  1. Online at Agfood.ie
    From November 18th, 2021, until December 20th, 2021, at 5pm. 

    Applicants may apply themselves on agfood or an agent may do so on their behalf.

  1. By text message
    If an applicant or an agent operating on his/her behalf does not apply on the agfood.ie for the 2022 BDGP transitional scheme before Wednesday 8th December 2021, the applicant will receive a text message on Friday 10th December 2021 asking you if you wish to extend your BDGP participation by one year.On receipt of this message reply either ‘DAFM Y’ (for Yes) or ‘DAFM N’ (for No). There will be a 72-hour (3-day) window to reply.

    A further text will issue Tuesday 14th December 2021 to those who have yet to reply followed by a further text on Friday 17th December 2021.

The deadline for submission of all applications is 5pm on Monday 20th December 2021.
