The Department of Rural and Community Development are in the process of developing the next phase of the Rural Development Policy 2020-2025.

This policy aims to help strengthen and develop rural economies and communities across Ireland by taking into account a number of impacting factors such as the demographics of rural communities, changing industries, the increasing focus on climate change as well as the changing political context.

While a number of stakeholder consultations have already taken place, the Department is now inviting wider feedback on the challenges and opportunities facing people living and working in rural Ireland via an online survey.

This survey remains open until the 11th of October and is available here.
