What does it mean for Irish Agri Food Co-operatives
Wednesday the 20th of May marks the launch of the EU Commission’s new food policy framework the “EU Farm to Fork Strategy”. This framework forms a fundamental part of the European “Green Deal” which aims to transform the European supply chain into one which will become the global standard in sustainability. This will mean a shift in focus from the supply of affordable food to one which focuses on aspects of climate action and the environment, in many different ways.
To coincide with this launch, the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society (ICOS) and MEP Mairead McGuiness will host an online webinar to talk through the implications of this strategy for farmers, businesses and consumers.
