The National Rural Network (NRN) is delighted to renew its support for the FBD Young Farmer of the Year Competition 2021 by sponsoring the NRN Biodiversity Farmer of the Year Award for the fourth consecutive year.
The award aims to draw attention to farmers who are farming sustainably and enhancing biodiversity on their farms. Farmers are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of biodiversity on their farms. Biodiversity is important for soil fertility, conservation of biota, and the pollination of plants, all of which are essential for food production.
The NRN Biodiversity Farmer of the Year Award celebrates farmers safeguarding the environment by protecting and enhancing wild flora and fauna on their farms. The award is presented by the NRN, and it is part of the FBD Young Farmer of the Year competition.
Keep an eye on our website for information on how to enter the FBD Young Farmer of the Year 2021 competition. Details are coming very soon.
The NRN wishes all potential entrants the best of luck and looks forward to interviewing all applicants and compiling a shortlist for the Biodiversity Farmer of the year award.
The winner will be revealed at the awards ceremony scheduled for December 2021.
